Everyone loves luxury beauty products, a lot of times they are amazing, and other times simply because of the aesthetic right? But sometimes even if they are great, they are really expensive and there are so many options on the market that perform the same at a better price and can be found everywhere.

So let's start with some dupes for this popular skincare we see everywhere:

The Augustinus Bader rich cream is a very popular cream that celebrities like Hailey Bieber and Romee Strijd use. Even if it is an amazing face cream it is too pricey (280$). If you can and want to buy it fine but there are so many good options that will give you the same result so much cheaper.

This product repairs and renews your skin, so the thing here is you need something that will repair and deeply hydrate your skin and for that, you have products like La Roche Posay Cicaplast or Avène Cicalfate, Rhode BRC cream, Cerave cream, Weleda skin food rich cream, Bioderma sensibio cream, Biossance omega cream or the La Roche Posay Toleraine night cream. So let's see why these products are similar. When you are trying to find dupes for skincare products, you need to see which ingredients they have and if it's public, the concentration of them or which ones are the strongest, and search for products that also include them. And then see if the consistency is similar and obvious in the price.

Some of the ingredients are:

  • Sunflower seed oil (this is an antioxidant that appears in a lot of skincare product lists and I personally love it because it is anti-aging, hydrating, great for sensitive skin, and helps to strengthen, soothe and replenish the skin barrier);

  • Squalane (is an ingredient that is very popular, there are even brands that use it as their main ingredient like Biossance. It helps to prevent moisture loss and, helps to strengthen the skin barrier, it's non-greasy but very hydrating);

  • Panthenol (panthenol also known as vitamin B5 is used in products like the cica lines from Avène and La Roche Posay, known to help when the skin barrier is compromised. This ingredient attracts and retains moisture into the skin leaving it moisturized and calm (which is a must when the skin is red and irritated), this is one that I always incorporate into my skincare routine because I trust it to protect my skin from damage and heal it when needed);

  • Glycerin (I mean we all know this one right? This is the one we always listen to and see everywhere like niacinamide and hyaluronic acid, it just appears everywhere. Glycerin is a skin-restoring ingredient and is a humectant so it helps to retain moisture, when combine with other replenishing ingredients, it helps a lot with dry skin);

  • Zinc PCA (it is a hydrating and anti-aging ingredient, it's derived from Zinc which appears in a lot of acne and replenishing products because it also works well to heal the skin, it has the ability to destroy some enzymes that damage the skin which leads to wrinkles);

  • Oils like Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil and Avocado oil (antioxidants and hydrating ingredients);

  • Shea Butter (this one has been on the haircare products for years, it is a plant-based ingredient used to help hydrate the skin and has lots of antioxidants);

  • Vitamin E (one of my favorite ingredients, this one is so good to hydrate and soothe the skin, and sometimes it can help to even out the skin tone. It is an antioxidant and you find it a lot on products with vitamin c);

  • Sodium Hyaluronate (it's the salt form of hyaluronic acid, it is great to hydrate the skin, it absorbs better, it also helps skin to maintain the water balance);

  • Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract (comes from Green Tea, a great antioxidant, it is a soothing antioxidant, great for sensitive skin types);

  • Arginine (according to Paula's choice dictionary this ingredient is an amino acid that is present in our body and is essential for human development. It has antiaging and hydrating properties);

It also has peptides but is at the bottom of the list, so they are not very concentrated, they are great to have, it is an antiaging and soothing ingredient that is becoming more popular each day.
